Information for prospective undergraduate RA’s:

I am recruiting two-three research assistants for my virtual undergraduate Stigma and Culture Lab for Fall 2024. The RAship will be strictly online and students majoring online will be prioritized.

RAs can sign up for 3 credits which averages to about 10 hours of work per week. Every week, there will be a standing lab meeting. The lab meeting is going to be mandatory and will be held via Teams. RAs will also write an independent literature review paper with my guidance, on topics such as stigma, culture, nonnative accents, or mentoring of stigmatized individuals. Students who aim to complete their literature review on an irrelevant or tangential topic will not be considered.

Example tasks include designing, computerizing, and collecting online data. Depending on the pace of the research project, further tasks may be required. RAs will receive training on any relevant tasks.

Eligibility criteria include 3.00 GPA minimum, sophomore or higher standing, and having completed Research Methods successfully. Students who plan to take Research Methods during Fall 2024 will not be considered.
